What you will do:
As the Lead Performance Marketing for the Benelux and Continental Region, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and realizing our ambitious goals across Europe. Based in Amsterdam and reporting directly to senior leadership, you will oversee a multi-million marketing budget for the Benelux and continental region. You will manage marketing efforts for several leading brands, including Troostwijk and Surplex, ensuring to attract more bidders and sellers in the B2B auction market. Regular travel to Düsseldorf is required to collaborate with marketing and other teams in Continental region.
In this strategic role, you will be responsible for scaling marketing efforts, optimizing performance across channels, and ensuring a strong return on investment. Your expertise will drive innovation and impact, enabling us to expand our reach and driving auction adoption in the market of used B2B goods and delivering an attribution to a more sustainable a more sustainable circular economy by promoting reuse and reducing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the performance marketing strategy and execution for the Benelux and continental region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Lead a team of five marketing professionals specializing in paid search, display, paid social, marketplaces and web content. Collaborate as part of a broader marketing team, working closely with colleagues from the TBAuctions Group on performance marketing initiatives, as well as with counterparts in the Nordics to ensure seamless alignment and shared success.
- Take ownership of setting strategic targets in close collaboration with commercial objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
- Establish and implement a performance-driven approach, closely monitoring and managing budgets to maximize return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including country-specific or vertical market initiatives, to drive measurable results.
- Implement and oversee reporting to track the impact of marketing investments, ensuring decisions are data-driven and actionable.
- Implement and execute a “test and learn” mindset across the marketing team.
- Collaborate effectively with other marketing expertise areas such as CRM, branding, and sales to create integrated strategies and achieve better results together, enhancing overall marketing performance and cross-functional synergy.
- Provide actionable insights and regular reports to stakeholders, communicating results and recommendations clearly.
- Guide and mentor team members, ensuring professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
- Build strong relationships with local and international colleagues to identify synergies and share best practices, driving cross-market growth.

What you bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 7-8 years in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing performance marketing or paid search in an international environment.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to manage large budgets and execute strategies that deliver measurable growth and ROI.
- Analytical Skills: Fact-driven and highly proficient in interpreting performance data to inform decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Masters degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Google - and Microsoft Ads, Meta and LinkedIn Ads. Familiarity with marketing automation tools, and experience in B2B lead generation.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- Team Orientation: Collaborative leader with a “start small, end big” mindset, focused on building high-performing teams.
